      Hello,

Please direct me to where the Solidlworks CAD models are located.

We are designing enclosures and need a more realistic model than what we can create from the profile drawings.

Specifically need it for NX8048K070 and the 10.1 inch NX1060P101-011C-I without enclosure.

Why don’t you ask the good old Mrs Google? It will point you towards the GrabCAD community, where you’ll most probably find your luck.

In case you need it served on a silver plate because there is no Google in Plymouth Indiana :

      You are welcome!

Thank you for the reply, but really. Are you actually allowed to download from websites like that and bring it into your network…

For each to their own (admin, privileges and restrictions)
      – you can talk to your admin about the importance for your one shot needs
      – you can talk to your admin about your diligence record
You can create such from actual measurements and Dimension.PDF
      – one still has to ponder the measurement accuracy of the author

Perhaps you even have permissions to use your personal system to download
When you have a viable model to your satisfaction, ask admin to insert
The way you ask, I have to ponder if there is a reason admin says no.

Perhaps policies are in place for a reason to not circumvent
Then there is still calipers and Dimension.PDF to do manually

Its not an option here, we have an internal secure network that is air-gapped from the internet. We also have a network with an internet connection for non-secure work. Problem is our engineering data and tools are secure.

Its assumed the manufacture of the devices is practicing safe networking and I would be able to get the model direct with a much lower threat risk.

      Once again

Manual measurements and entry and/or Dimension.PDF has your likely lowest threat risk.
      Dimensions.PDF has tolerances
      measurements +/- 0.20mm, angles +/- 0.25°

When your policies are such so secure (nothing is absolute)
      Including Solidworks software’s own risks
then even such a datafile is likely too risky to use someone else’s

If the datafile itself was not so risky,
then inserting only the datafile via admin from no net source is safe enough

It is not really a Nextion thing on paranoid policies
Ways to get the safe datafile from without infecting the network can be possible
again, unless the datafile itself is such a risk.

But such is not a technical nextion thing
You have to balance your needs in a world full of risk at every corner.

Its already in dimensional form, good enough for layout. Just wanted a nice looking mock up to run thru photo360.

Keep in mind its my decision what components to use…….if I am not happy you lose.

The Nextion itself is a very quality device at a very economical price. This forum is the technical discussions of community members who take freely from their time to have these discussions with other community members. When it strays from the technical (seems you want other members to pander) to such useless comments (you lose), then it is quickly noted.

Want to pay more per piece with lesser ability for your production run, it is indeed you who loses all for your ill placed arrogance. Such indeed becomes far from the technical, if you are happy pandered to or not. Sorry, this is not kindergarten, we are fellow developers, try not to treat other members like they must bow to your whims … they indeed do not when they take freely from their time.

      Season’s greetings.

Thank you for the outstanding response. I will most certainly share that with our client.

      Season’s Greetings

Keep it to the technical in the forum as per the Rules.

Please indeed do share in completeness with your client.
Show your statement to other developers
“Keep in mind its my decision what components to use…….if I am not happy you lose.”
      Show this in its completeness.

      Again,
Fellow developers that take freely of their time, is not their loss.

      And rightfully,
You should be informed rightly you have no right to “demand” their time/effort for your happiness

      Again,
Increase the cost of your client for your arrogance.

Show this in its completeness to your client, indeed.
